Porto Marina to Hosted the First Edition of The Boat Club - Egypt

Following the great success of the eight editions of the Egypt International Boat Show and while getting closer to its 9^th edition, which will take place in Cairo from 14 to 17 January 2027, Amr Selim and Ahmed Allam, the organisers of the show, launched a new tourism brand called The Boat Club – Egypt.

This new brand aims to organize marine and recreational activities to bring together importers, agents, and manufacturers of yachts, boats, and water sports equipment of all sizes and types, along with boat and yacht owners, sailing enthusiasts, and water sports lovers. The brand will operate in various ports and coastal tourism projects to contribute to supporting and promoting yacht and boat tourism in different locations and cities across Egypt. This will include not only showcasing international and local new boat brands but also allowing boat owners to exhibit their used boats for sale.

Porto Marina on the North Coast was chosen to launch the new brand, The Boat Club - Egypt coinciding with the Amer Group's celebrations of inaugurating their new edition of Porto Marina, M Hotels, restaurants, and yachts marina in El Alamein on the North Coast, after an extensive development, renovation, and numerous additions, attracting a significant influx of tourists and positioning it at the forefront of leisure tourism in the North Coast region. 

The inaugural edition of the Boat Club was celebrated with a grand event presented by the Amer Group, featuring a spectacular concert by the renowned artist Ragheb Alama. The stage was set in the heart of the sea, surrounded by numerous boats and yachts, creating a beautiful evening. The Boat Club's activities continued from August 1st to 15th, providing a platform for many international agencies and Egyptian manufacturers of boats and related equipment to showcase and sell their products. Many exhibitors, including owners of used boats, also participated.

Over the course of fifteen days, the events at the Boat Club witnessed the attendance of many sailing enthusiasts and those wishing to purchase boats and yachts, in addition to many celebrities and public figures, including the brilliant actor Tamer Hagras, who is one of the boat owners and is known for his great love of the sea and sailing.

Notably, the Boat Club allowed many boat owners and sea enthusiasts to access the Marina Lake by boat to view and experience the displayed vessels, offering a unique and enjoyable experience.

Amr Selim commented, "Our choice as organisers to hold the first edition of the Boat Club in Porto Marina was due to the great development and modernisation we witnessed in the hotels, services, and the port; in addition to the enthusiasm and great capabilities provided by the Amer Group team. We also considered the strategic location that Porto Marina enjoys in the heart of the largest tourist lake, not only on the North Coast but in all of Egypt, which contains the largest number of boat owners. We must also not forget that Porto Marina is the first tourist port that was established on the North Coast."

Ahmed Allam explained, "What distinguishes the Egypt International Boat Show, which is usually held in the winter in a covered hall in Cairo, is our uniqueness in displaying more than 140 international and locally made brands and trademarks under one roof, while what the Boat Club has to offer is giving those who wish to buy a boat the opportunity not only to see the boat in the water but also to try it, drive it, and make a real comparison between the different types and sizes."

Amr Selim added, "Our organisation of the Boat Club has multiple objectives, including promoting and activating the ports and coastal tourist villages where the event is held, and attracting boat and yacht owners to these places, while maintaining our main goal, which is to revitalise yacht tourism in Egypt and strongly position Egypt on the map of this important global tourism."
