“2026 marked the official launch of the Egyptian Golf Series (EGS), a major new addition to the region’s golfing calendar aimed at positioning Egypt as a premier international golf destination. The inaugural season has already seen 11 successful events completed, with three more tournaments scheduled for September to conclude the EGS 2026 season. 

The series has attracted more than 1,700 participants from over 35 countries, reflecting the growing international interest in Egyptian golf and the country’s world-class courses and hospitality. Across the season, the Egyptian Golf Series is generating close to $1 million in total prize funds, underlining the scale and ambition of the new tour.

At the conclusion of the series, the leading players will be invited to compete in the prestigious Egyptian Open, scheduled for early November, adding a fitting finale to the debut EGS season.”
